My name is Denise Aarons and I have Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Social Work. I obtained my bachelor degree at Ryerson University and my Masters at the University of Toronto.
I am a registered member in good standing with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and also hold membership in the Ontario Association of Social Workers. I have maintained my clinical competency with regular upgrading and have completed certificates in Cognitive Behavioral, Solutions Focused Therapies. I also have competency in Dialectic Behavioral therapy.
My experience in counselling and coaching has been developed and honed over the years in the adult mental health sector. I have designed and delivered client directed services to individuals with complex psychological, emotional and social issues. As a mental health clinician, I have successfully managed demanding caseloads consisting of twenty one or more adults. This experience has enhanced my ability to deal with difficult and emotional issues in a calm and practical manner while determining how to best meet the needs of clients.
I provide therapeutic services competently, efficiently, with compassion and engage clients in a collaborative process of treatment.,
