About Me

My name is Denise Aarons and I have Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Social Work.  I obtained my bachelor degree at Ryerson University and my Masters at the University of Toronto.

I am a registered member in good standing with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and also hold membership in the Ontario Association of Social Workers.  I have maintained my clinical competency with regular upgrading and have completed certificates in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Working with Families and Children.

My experience in counselling and coaching has been developed and honed over the years in the adult mental health sector.  I have designed and delivered client directed services to individuals with complex psychological, emotional and social issues.  As a mental health clinician, I have successfully managed demanding caseloads consisting of twenty one or more adults.  This experience has enhanced my ability to deal with difficult and emotional issues in a calm and practical manner while determining how to best meet the needs of clients.

I provide therapeutic services competently, efficiently, with compassion and engage clients in a collaborative process of treatment.
